About the event

Join author Jimmy Sena for a guided tour of historic Colorado Springs. Accompanying the memory of Nikola Tesla through downtown Colorado Springs is a special way to bring Tesla's Walk to life. With merely three or four steps we find ourselves back in 1899, smelling the dirt roadbeds of Cascade and Tejon, hearing sounds of horses and trolley cars around our heads, and encountering the things still here that have shouldered off change: Acacia Park, The El Paso Club, the original Post Office, the two Mining Exchanges, and the resolute top facades of buildings which have witnessed the past 127 years move back and forth through our local history. Venturing further to the site of Tesla's incredible Experimental Station, we challenge our senses to remove what the city has gained but what nature has lost -- space, silence, and... lightning!
