Conductor Deborah Jenkins Teske leads CVAE and the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in J.S. Bach’s Mass in B minor on February 26, 2023.

The Mass in B Minor is the summation and synthesis of Bach’s life and work and one of the greatest achievements in classical music. “To present this sublime and awe-inspiring masterpiece as part of our 30th anniversary season is a great privilege,” Teske says, “and we are thrilled to welcome the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs as our guests. This partnership is so important to both organizations.”

The performance will feature members of CVAE as soloists for the arias and duets, and in selected passages in the choral movements where Teske has chosen to vary the texture with smaller forces.
